John Leonida

A former lawyer and senior equity partner at international law firm Clyde & Co where he headed their superyacht group for many years, John has spent more than 20 years advising the owners and builders of some of the world's most luxurious superyachts not only on matters of law but also on commercial and industrial strategy.

In each of the five years up to 2020 Chambers HNW Guide to The World's Leading High Net Worth Advisers ranked John in the top division of only four global Superyacht lawyers.  He has been described as a "very good negotiator" and "very precise and thorough in his work".  One industry insider described him as having an "encyclopaedic knowledge of the sector”.  John now brings that encyclopaedic knowledge to LP Squared.

He occasionally writes commentary for Boat International and The Superyacht Report and is a regular contributor to superyacht symposia.  John also served for three award cycles as a Judge for the Boat International Design and Innovation Awards.
